Room for diversity at school With varied room designs, Bosch & Fjord have created a flexible teaching environment at Ordrup School that supports differentiated education.

Policies developed by the citizens In cooperation with the City of Aarhus, VIA Design has created a prototype for ‘citizen-driven policy development’, which uses innovative measures to involve the citizens in the development of a new integration policy.

Servicedesign 2.0 With the re-design of Copenhagen Citizen Service in the City of Copenhagen, 2+1 Idébureau has developed a physical environment that supports professional service delivery and efficient service and self-service procedures.

Healthy Rebild Rebild Municipality asked the design agency Hatch & Bloom to create a holistic service design solution for the new comprehensive health policy of the municipality.
 
The hospital’s beating heart  
The hospital’s beating heart Together with an interdisciplinary group of healthcare professionals who use emergency healthcare services, Conceptmaking developed a concept for the emergency department at the projected New University Hospital in Århus. The concept was subsequently used by the architect of the consultancy group and has helped to generate a sense of shared ownership among the users.
 
Visit Vollsmose  
Visit Vollsmose The design agency 2+1 Idébureau has developed an action-oriented brand platform that opens the neighbourhood of Vollsmose to the world and invites visitors in for a range of unique experiences.
 
Free choice of domestic help  
Free choice of domestic help The Municipality of Roskilde received help from the design agency CPH design to create new procedures in connection with the choice of home care service. This has improved referral practices and service delivery for the users of the programme and led to major savings for the municipality.
 
The perfect chair  
The perfect chair Manufacturer Magnus Olesen has worked with Design Concern to create a beautiful chair with good ergonomics. The chair, i-SIT sets new standards for chairs for people of all ages.
 
Bringing play back to society  
Bringing play back to society The game producer Euman A/S has developed a physically challenging alternative to sedentary classroom practices. The learning game PlayingMondo integrates movement and promotes physical activity via virtual games and outdoor challenges that are conveyed via the mobile phone.

Eat and learn The design agency e-Types was asked to develop a concept to improve culinary culture and thus the learning environment in municipal primary and lower-secondary schools in Copenhagen.

Improved conditions for residents with multiple disabilities The design agency AKP Design has helped the Regional Municipality of Bornholm to create improved user experiences for residents with multiple disabilities in the assisted living facility Nexøhuset while also improving the working environment for the staff.

Co-service – service bureau in Aarhus Municipality From service to self-service – that is the basic idea in a concept that was developed for Citizen Service by the design agencies 1508 and 3PART for the City of Aarhus. They developed two service shops to optimise interactions between citizens and local government offices.

Urban Innovator Copenhagen Living Lab spearheaded a project that uncovered ways to develop value-creating cooperation between a youth culture and an innovative corporate culture.

The Pill Box – a box full of information New communication tools can improve communication between hospital and patient during the time spent in the waiting room. This ensures a positive first experience for the patient, which has positive effects for the rest of the process in the hospital.

Optimised drug room The design agency Harrit-Sørensen has created a new concept for the drug room at Fredericia Hospital. The new design has increased staff well-being and reduced the occurrence of errors in medication.

Mission 'The Good Senior Life' The Health and Care Administration in the City of Copenhagen has worked with several private companies to develop services and products that better meet the needs of senior citizens in nursing homes.

A better layout prevents dropouts The new physical design of the University of Copenhagen at Amager is focused on the individual student. In an experimental approach, Bosch & Fjord has aimed for an informal learning environment to motivate and involve the users.

Get rid of the hassle In Denmark, people under 30 years of age perceive interactions with local and national government offices as cumbersome. Mindlab has spearheaded the development of recommendations and solutions to improve the user experience.

Treatment centres Smedegaard & Weis has developed design-based guidelines for future interdisciplinary healthcare centres intended to improve healthcare services and make the best use of the available resources.

Blood, sweat and tears 3PART and Vejle Sygehus have improved the working environment and the tools for bio-analysts who work with blood samples in the Clinical Chemical Laboratory at Vejle Hospital. This has also led to improved user experiences for patients.
 
The personal alarm transmitter  
The personal alarm transmitter Together with the manufacturer STT Condigi, Design Concern has created a personal alarm transmitter that makes it easy for senior citizens and nursing staff to call for assistance. That leads to an improved sense of security for both the senior users and their relatives.
 
The Good Kitchen  
The Good Kitchen The design agency Hatch & Bloom has developed a service design solution that includes virtually all aspects of the meal service programme in Holstebro Municipality.

Is there a deposit on the bottle? Together with staff at Dansk Retursystem, VIA Design has developed a user-centred system for handling recyclable bottles and bottle deposits.

Operation 'Better Lighting'  
Operation 'Better Lighting' In order to improve lighting in operating rooms, Made By Makers working with doctors from Odense University Hospital have created a light fitting and operation panel for ergonomic lighting. The ergonomic lighting creates colour zones in the operating room based on functional properties and has led to improved working conditions.
 
Self-help using technology  
Self-help using technology Together with five municipalities, CPH Design has designed proposals to reduce the amount of assistance that citizens need while also enabling the local authorities to provide more efficient home care solutions.
